South Africa’s most valuable coin could be worth an estimated R15 million.

According to Cointrader, the most valuable coin in the country is the 1898 Single 9-Pond Coin.

It’s estimated to be worth approximately R15 million, according to the information available.

Why is it even worth this much?

It’s South Africa’s rarest coin, and only one of them was ever produced. Made during the Anglo-Boer war, this coin was meant as a symbol of the country’s steadfastness.
