The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) have announced grant payment dates for October.
If you’re approved for the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant, then you should be able to collect your grant from Thursday.
Here’s what to know about the current state of the SRD grant, and how to collect.
According to news from The South African website, SASSA R350 grants can be collected from Thursday, 5 October.
As long as your grant has APPROVED status, SRD recipients will receive their grant amounts.
Other social grants will be paid out on different dates.
If you receive any of the other social grants, then expect to collect your grant on one of these payment dates:
The SRD grant gets paid out with other grants, such as Child Grants.
SASSA still allows applications for the R350 SRD grant through their website, or at any regional office. During the application process, you will need your Identity Document, Proof of Residence, and Proof of Income.
It’s also necessary to have an active cellphone number when applying for your social grant.
If you must still apply for your grant, then you will only be able to claim your grant once it has been approved.
