WATCH: Lion spotted casually walking along N1 in Beaufort West [VIDEO]

South Africa is home to the “Big Five”, which refers to the lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and African buffalo. When one of those animals is spotted it’s always an incredible moment, and that’s what happened on the N1 in Beaufort West.

A viral video shared on SA Trucker shows a motorist in a vehicle that bears highway patrol decals on filming a lion walking along the N1 in Beaufort West.

The clip was posted on Friday, June 30 and has garnered over 14 000 views.

The caption of the video reads: “Just your typical day in South Africa, lioness spotted casually strolling down the the N1 in BeaufortWest. No big deal, really. I mean, who needs a zoo when you have wild predators roaming around your neighbourhood? Yesterday afternoon”
