A suspect was arrested on the world’s most hiked mountain, Lion’s Head, on Sunday, 21 January in connection with a robbery that took place on the tourist hotspot. Cape Town law enforcement officials and Table Mountain National Park Rangers were at the scene. There have been several reports of muggers targeting hikers and walkers on Lion’s Head and Signal Hill over the holiday period. In December, two hikers were robbed at gunpoint at around 4:45am, according to IOL. The latest incident that took place on Sunday, 21 January saw a woman robbed of her belongings while hiking on Lion’s Head.
