A man threatened to jump off the rooftop of the Sunnyside police station on Tuesday, 21 March. Several SAPS vehicles were used to block Leyds Street and a City of Tshwane fire engine was deployed to the scene.

In a video shared on social media, the man can be seen standing on top of the police station’s rooftop. In another video, a negotiator climbed the ladder of the fire engine and negotiated with the man for a few minutes.
