The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has predicted light snowfall over the high-lying areas of the Western Cape and southern high ground of the Northern Cape. This comes as a cold front is expected to make landfall over the south-western Cape on Friday spreading eastwards during the day. As previously reported by The South African, the cold front is expected to spread eastwards on Saturday, 26 August. As a result, rain, rough seas, strong to gale force winds and cold temperatures can be expected over the Cape provinces.
