SASSA Children’s Grants in January 2024 were due for payment on Sunday 7 January 2024. However, thousands have complained to social justice activists Black Sash, that they are still awaiting SASSA Children’s Grants in January 2024. There are three different Children’s Grants administered by the South African Social Security Agency: Child Care Dependency Grant, Child Support Grant and Foster Child Grant. According to GroundUp, days later and thousands of SASSA Children’s Grants in January 2024 are still to be honoured. To add insult to injury, many of the affected have had their grants suspended for no reason at all, seemingly as a result of a ‘technical glitch’ in the New Year.
