The Economic Freedom Fighters’ (EFF) tenth birthday is approaching, and to mark the occasion, the party will host a gala dinner along with a stadium-sized party in July. A seat at party leader Julius Malema’s “platinum table” at the Emperors Palace dinner will cost a steep R1.2 million. The Mail and Guardian points out that this is the same price businesspeople had to fork out to share a table with President Cyril Ramaphosa during the ANC’s elective conference in December.

The platinum table seat comes with a three-course meal, drinks and branding opportunities. The occupiers of the table’s ten seats will also receive ten tickets to a VIP marquee where the EFF’s 10 year anniversary rally will be held.
