Potholes have become a regular sighting on Johannesburg roads and a clear vision has been more pivotal for motorists than ever. Owing to the regular heavy downpours, roads in the City of Johannesburg are slowly deteriorating and require urgent intervention. While many appreciate the Johannesburg Roads Agency’s (JRA) efforts to clear and clean blocked storm water drains, this diversion has seemingly left roads suffering. Some motorists are under the impression that the expansion of potholes will be left unattended like the broken traffic lights currently manned by vagrants. In one that has been disrupting movement in Roodepoort, City of Johannesburg councillor Theo Doyle confirmed the escalation of the complaint.
