The weather services said SNOW rain and ICY cold weather are expected in these areas of South Africa from Sunday. According to VoxWeather forecaster Annette Botha, a strong cold front is expected to bring rain showers, SNOW, and a significant drop in temperatures across the Cape Provinces and our neighbouring country, Namibia. Botha said snow will start falling on Sunday over the Cederberg and Matroosberg mountains and high mountain peaks in the Western Cape, including the Boland mountains around Franschhoek and Worcester, spreading to Sutherland. According to Botha, the ECMWF (European weather model) and GFS (Global Forecast System) are picking up lots of snow in Sutherland on Monday morning.
