A cash-in-transit heist has left two security guards injured after the armoured vehicle was attacked in Pretoria, Gauteng this afternoon, Monday,17 July. Emer-G-Med reports that earlier this evening just after 17h00 traffic was brought to a standstill on the N4 national highway in the vicinity of Watermeyer and Russouw Streets following the incident. It is reported that a number of armed suspects intercepted a cash-in-transit armoured vehicle, before blowing it up. Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene to find the carcass of the armoured vehicle occupying the width of the roadway. The South African Police Services were in attendance and will be conducting the necessary investigation accordingly,” the private ambulance service explained.
