Eastern Cape police have launched a manhunt for perpetrators after six people were murdered and four others injured at a house in Kwanobuhle. The incident happened in Mdledle Street in Kwanobuhle on Tuesday, 11 July 2023. South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson in Eastern Cape, Colonel Priscilla Naidu said it is alleged that at about 19:40, three unknown males entered the yard and opened fire at people who were in the property or nearby the house. Two females were shot at the gate. One female succumbed to her injuries while the other sustained gunshot wounds. Eastern Cape Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Nomthetheleli Mene condemned the senseless killing and called on the community to assist police in tracing the perpetrators immediately. Mene also urged the team of investigators to track and trace the perpetrators in the quickest time possible.
