Check the hotel room before settling in
Upon entering your hotel room, take a few moments to inspect the locks on doors and windows. Ensure they are functioning properly. Also, check for any signs of tampering or security breaches. If you notice anything suspicious, immediately inform hotel staff and request a different room.

Secure your belongings
Make use of the hotel room safe for storing valuables such as passports, cash, and electronics. If the room doesn’t have a safe, consider using a portable travel safe or locking your items in your luggage. Don’t leave valuables out in plain sight, as this can attract unwanted attention.
