Watch Dogs

Watch Dogs – which was developed and published by Ubisoft – really needs no introduction. is described as a “tough as hell score-based procedurally-generated platformer with roguelike elements”.

You play as Aiden Pearce, a brilliant hacker who turns Chicago into the ultimate weapon in your quest for revenge. What will you do when your personal quest collides with an entire city?

Watch Dog review

You turn the city into your ultimate weapon of revenge, that’s what you do. Christopher Livingston from PC Gamer gave it a score of 87, and explains:

“There are plenty of enjoyable diversions, activities, and side-quests to distract you from the semi-blandness of Chicago and its residents, and almost all of them involve hacking of some sort. I loved solving the ctOS tower puzzles, which unlock new locations and hideouts (as in Assassin’s Creed games and Far Cry 3).”

The Stanley Parable

The Stanley Parable – which was developed and published by Galactic Cafe back in October 2013 – is a first person exploration game that will end, but also won’t end, according to the creators.

You will play as Stanley, and you will not play as Stanley. Maybe you will follow a story, maybe you will not follow a story. You will have a choice, you will have no choice.

The more you play, the more it will make (somewhat) sense. It’s a weird one, but you’ll probably love it. I give it an 8 out of 10. Phil Savage from PC Gamers gave it 90 out of 100.

“I’ve just completed The Stanley Parable for the eleventh time. I’ll avoid spoilers, and instead say that in the 15 or so minutes it took to finish my last playthrough, I laughed, felt a pang of sadness, and, more than anything, was genuinely surprised”.

Mutazione

Mutazione was developed by Die Gute Fabrik and published by Akapura Games back in September 2019.. It’s described as a “mustang soap opera where small town gossip meets the supernatural”.

It’s a strange little game, but quite addictive. You’ll get to explore as 15-year-old Kai as she travels the strange and secretive community of Mutazione to care for Nonno, her elderly grandfather.

Anodyne 2

Anodyne 2 – which was developed and published by Analgesic Productions – is an adventure indie game in which you get to run, jump and drive across vast landscapes.

“Shrink into surreal dungeons inside of the characters bodies. Travel the world, meet strange people and save the world from Nano Dust.”
