BREAKING NEWS: The WWE Championship match between AJ Styles (c) and Shinsuke Nakamura will now have no disqualifications!

The show continues with a “must see” segment, according to The Miz, because it’s opening up with Miz TV once again. This week’s special guest is the WWE United States Champion. You may know him as “The Rainbow Haired Warrior”, “The Charismatic Enigma”, or even the nefarious “Brother Nero”. Please welcome, Jeff Hardy!

We’re not stopping there. Miz TV had a 2nd guest, “The Viper” Randy Orton. Initially, The Miz attempted to pit Hardy and Orton against each other. Turns out they’re cool with each other. Although, the former US Champion, Randy challenged Jeff at Backlash for the title despite still being “cool”. Shelton Benjamin came out and tried to dishonorably insert himself into the title picture. Randy Orton brought the karma and planted him with a Vintage DDT. General Manager Paige has booked a tag team match for tonight; Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy versus The Miz and Shelton Benjamin.

At the end of a victorious tag team match, Jeff Hardy celebrates, but is quickly sidelined by an RKO from Randy Orton. Seems like they aren’t “cool” after all.

Daniel Bryan is not cleared to compete tonight due to chest injuries from The Greatest Royal Rumble. His match against Big Cass on Sunday may be in jeopardy.

As per schedule, AJ Styles came down to the ring for one last meeting with Shinsuke Nakamura before their big match at Backlash. What wasn’t scheduled was Samoa Joe showing up to the gig. Joe claimed that after he’s done choking out Roman Reigns this Sunday, he’s going after the WWE Champion whether it be Styles or Nakamura. This statement distracted AJ enough that Shinsuke Nakamura was able to ambush him from behind.

The WWE Universe thought that Absolution would be back upon being traded to Smackdown Live. The people thought wrong. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville aren’t taking too kindly to their old friend Paige. So, Paige invoked her General Manager power and scheduled Mandy Rose to fight “The Lass Kicker” Becky Lynch next week.
