Kaizer Chiefs veteran defender Sifiso Hlanti reveals his promise about trophies as he shares a message to the club’s faithful ahead of the Carling Knockout Cup tie.

Chiefs will face AmaZulu this weekend and Hlanti says the Carling Cup game is an opportunity for them to win trophies.

Chiefs are yet to win trophies in eight years and they are under pressure to finally end the unwanted drought.

CHIEFS DEFENDER REVEALS PROMISE FOR TROPHIES

The former Bidvest Wits left-footed defender, Hlanti also shares the mood in their camp, saying his Chiefs teammates are ready to fight for trophies.

He says coach Molefi Ntseki’s troops are aware Chiefs are a big brand and they are ready to die for the badge.

“This is another opportunity for us to win a Cup. We know very well that it’s not going to be an easy one because other teams want it as well,” Hlanti said per IOL.

“We are going to have to dig deep. We are fully positive. Yes, the supporters are not happy … we can’t run away from that.

“I think we need to stand up and rise to the occasion. Whatever we do on the field of play, will come out as the final product at the end of the day. We want to win.”

HLANTI ON CHIEFS PREPARATIONS FOR CUP CLASH & TROPHIES

The seasoned left-back also reveals there is desire and commitment in the dressing room as they look to reach the Last Eight of the cup competition.

“The preparations are going well. The boys are showing hunger, desire, and commitment. Tactically and mentally, they are well prepared,” Hlanti adds.

“At this point, we are not looking back. We want to see ourselves achieving and progressing. The boys are looking good, and so is the atmosphere. So, all is good.”

According to the statement from the PSL, the match will get underway at 18:00 on Saturday.
