He has won 95 tournaments in total, 68 of those on hard courts and boasts a record 39 Masters events.

He is currently chasing Jimmy Connors’ record of 109 titles.

Djokovic has won 23 Grand Slams (10 Australian Opens, 7 Wimbledons, 3 French Opens and 3 US Opens).

Rafael Nadal has the next highest tally of Slams at 22 followed by Roger Federer who won 20.

Djokovic won his first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open at 20 years of age.

He has been ranked the ATP’s world number 1 for a record total of 389 weeks over 12 different years and has finished as the world’s best player at the end of the year 7 times.

He has won six year-end titles (the joint most along with Roger Federer).

Djokovic is also the only man to have achieved a triple Grand Slam in singles by winning each of the four majors at least three times, and the only player to complete a career Golden Masters in singles by winning all nine ATP Masters tournaments, a feat he achieved twice.

He won his first career Grand Slam in 2016 when he won the French Open for the first time.

In 2015, Djokovic had his most successful season, reaching 15 consecutive finals, winning a season-record 10 ‘Big titles’ while having a record 31 victories over top 10 players.

In 2010, Djokovic led his native Serbia to their first Davis Cup and in 2020 he was a driving force in helping Serbia win the inaugural ATP Cup.

He won a bronze medal in singles at the Beijing Olympics.

He has been Laureus World Sportsman of the Year four times (2012, 2015, 2016, 2019) and in 2011 was named the BBC Overseas Sports Personality of the Year.

Djokovic’s feats are not limited to only tennis.

In 2015 he was appointed as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. He has also set up the Novak Djokovic Foundation which aims to support children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Djokovic is currently through to the quarter-finals of the 2023 US Open at Flushing Meadows in New York.

It would be a brave person who bets against Djokovic achieving his 96th overall title and his 24th Grand Slam this weekend.
