Lamontville Golden Arrows coach Steve Komphela has announced his arrival on Twitter in typical style.

The ex-Kaizer Chiefs mentor is well known for his cryptic sound bites, and did not disappoint once more as he posted a video to alert his fans of his official account.

Having only existed in the Twittersphere through numerous fake accounts, Komphela had earlier promised a video which would serve to verify that the person behind the newest of the lot was indeed himself.

Molweni, I have been made aware that there are numerous fake accounts on social media platforms making the rounds in my name. As such, I aim employing the ‘if you cannot beat them, join them’ strategy except with real makoya accounts. Perhaps I too will post a video soon,” he tweeted earlier in February.

On Sunday, he made good on that promise posting a video with some typical rambling that we won’t even bother to decipher.

“Let’s use our brains by activating our senses. Let’s activate our senses, so we can utilise our brains.

“It’s been a long time coming. Let’s go sapiosexual.

“It’s game on!”

Err… you make of that what you will.

Komphela joins another high-profile leader in not going through the admin of waiting for a blue tick next to his handle in order to have his account verified – instead opting to post a video.

Former president, Jacob Zuma went a similar route when he too announced his arrival on Twitter by posting a video to prove that it is indeed him behind the account.

There have, however, been doubters when it comes to whether it is the statesman doing the actual Tweeting on the account, despite having the videos to back that up.
