South Africa has a new Sports, Arts and Culture Minister following President Cyril Ramaphosa‘s reshuffling of the country’s cabinet on Monday.

Nathi Mthethwa was axed as the Sports Minister, and his position was taken by former ANC spokesperson Zizi Kodwa.

Kodwa previously served as the Deputy Minister in the presidency for State Security; the position he held since August 2021 until on Monday.

But before then, Kodwa was the Deputy Minister for State Security – and he served in the role between May 2019 and August 2021.

The 53-year-old is now gearing up for the new role in the Sports, Arts and Culture industry – and a video of him seemingly excited for the position is doing the rounds on social media.
Interestingly, Kodwa was filmed wearing Royal AM’s attire – a branded trackpant and a white jersey for Shauwn Mkhize’s club.
