It all started with N7 Sports Ventures who had a crazy idea to promote rugby on the Isle of Man in 2019: ‘Why not try and secure Rugby icon, Bryan Habana for a weekend on the Isle?’

Fast forward a few months and it is happening. With a few (really) good connections, a game plan and a whole lot of organisation, Bryan Habana will be heading to the Isle of Man for a weekend of rugby, fun and an incredible black-tie dinner to remember.

The appeal of Bryan Habana

Anyone who has observed Bryan both when he was actively playing rugby in the international area, as well as now into his retirement, will have seen that Bryan is passionate about empowering the next generation.

His foundation, Team Habana, is a vehicle to channel the values and experiences he has learnt through playing professional sport to inspire the next generation of young players and people.

Bryan is the World Cup ambassador for 2019, was a prolific try-scorer during his 13 years of international rugby, has scored more tries than any other Springbok in history, and is the second most international try-scorer of all time.

Bryan is also an incredible example of determination and grit. Bryan embodies what the organisers of the event want the youth on the Isle to believe is possible for every single one of them. Bryan’s career and life reflect the fact that passion and hard work, along with real commitment will take you places you never imagined possible.
