All’s well that ends well for Sonny Bill Williams and his gentlemanly ways.

Remember Sonny Bill Williams giving his World Cup medal away to a surprised kid? Well, World Rugby has given him another one.
The lucky recipient, identified as Charlie Lines, was tackled by a security guard when he ran onto the pitch after the Rugby World Cup final on Saturday. Williams said he felt sorry for the 15-year old and decided his winner’s medal would be better around Charlie’s neck than his.
“I am sure that he’ll remember it. I’m happy that he has it because I know that he will really appreciate it,” Williams said at Sunday’s World Player of the Year awards.
“When he’s older, he can tell the story to his children.”
The 30-year-old Williams played down the incident which also saw team-mate and flank Liam Meesam give the teenager his black beanie hat.
“I’m really surprised, most of the boys would have done the same,” Williams said.
