South African coach Morena Ramoreboli oversaw his team’s 1-0 win over Wydad Casablanca in their CAF Champions League fixture on Saturday, having previously beat Orlando Pirates on penalties to get to the group stages.

Ramoreboli, who has often been deployed by the South African Football Association, was then surprisingly subjected to what he described as ‘disrespectful’ questions related to using ‘black magic’.

The query apparently came as a result of footage that showed Jwaneng Galaxy players converging at the corner of the field before they got ready to warm up, with one player seemingly pouring a substance in the corner.

“You’re saying we won because of black magic? Please don’t disrespect us!” the coach said before walking out of the press conference. “I’m very sorry but he can’t be talking like that.”

“You’re being unfair,” Ramoreboli also commented. “They were just warming up. They did warm ups before the game.”
