The 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) has reached the quarter-final stage following the conclusion of the group stages.

The 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) has reached the quarter-final stage following the conclusion of the group stages.

On Sunday night, three nations confirmed their places in the quarter-finals, and they are South Africa, Botswana and Nigeria.
South Africa’s Banyana Banyana beat Botswana 1-0 on the night while Nigeria hammered Burundi 4-0 in the other Group C match.

And while Botswana lost to Banyana Banyana, they still did enough as WAFCON rookies to reach the Last 8 as one of the two third best placed teams in tournament after the group stages.
The quarter-finals will be played on Wednesday and Thursday next week with two games scheduled in each day.

Zambia vs Senegal – 19:00 SA time
Morocco vs Botswana – 22:00 SA time
THURSDAY, 14 JULY
Cameroon vs Nigeria – 19:00 SA time
South Africa vs Tunisia – 22:00 SA time
