Last year, Chiefs offered a shocking update around the future of Billiat, with the club stating that the playmaker was ‘nowhere to be found’ after being offered a new contract.
He was ultimately released by the club after an acrimonious end to his five years at Naturena, and since then his career has been left in limbo.

Recently it was reported by iDiski Times that Billiat was possibly being considered as a new recruit at SuperSport United, but this deal ultimately did not materialise.
“We are not going to sign him, so it’s pointless to continue training,” SuperSport club boss Stan Mathews told Sunday World.
Yet the latest talk suggests Billiat could be instead lining up a move to Zimbabwe, and recently it was suggested by commercial radio station Star FM that he was edging closer to joining Dynamos FC, who could be hoping to wrap up the deal before the end of February.
However, the latest reports out of Zimbabwe – as highlighted by popular online source Unplayable – now indicate that “he has been offered a US$20K (R380K) signing-on-fee and a US$4K (R76K) monthly salary by Manica Diamonds”, who are apparently now more likely to land his signature.

“Following the expiry of attacking midfielder Khama Billiat’s Kaizer Chiefs contract on 30 June 2023, the club tabled a new offer for the Zimbabwean marksman to remain with Amakhosi. However, to date, the player has not responded to the offer or any attempts to contact him,” a statement read back in July.

A possible one-year extension at Chiefs seemed set to be a compromise of sorts at one point as the opportunity was presented for Billiat to revive his career over one more season, but back then it was also reported that Chiefs may have expected him to take a pay cut.
