Here’s how much Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates head coaches are taking home every month.

Most soccer fans are very much interested in how much players make a month, but hardly touch on what coaches and their technical team get paid.

Two decades ago, coaches didn’t get paid very well compared to players but that has since changed with some coaches even earning more than double of what players get. Many modern coaches have become more technically skilled as the years went by and often take courses to help them improve and develop new tactics. (cashcofinancial)

Let’s look at some of the highest paid PSL coaches and number one will leave you shocked.

Former Kaizer Chiefs head coach was the highest earning coach in March but since he was demoted, he is set to take a pay cut.

1. Maqoba Mngqithi

Mamelodi Sundowns senior coach takes home a whopping R 700 000 every month, according to SportsBrief. He is now officially th top paid coach in the DStv Premiership.

2. Rhulani Mokwena

Despite Mngqithi being his assistant, Mokwena is believed to earn less than the former Golden Arrows boss. The award winning coach earns around R 600 000 a month.

3. José Riveiro

So, how much does the Bucs coach take home every month? Riveiro is set to be taking home R 550 000 and could increase due to his success at Orlando Pirates.

4. Gavin Hunt

Hunt doesn’t come cheap and Kaizer Chiefs know that. Having returned to SuperSport United, the 58-year-old takes home roughly R 480 000.

5. Molefi Ntseki

The former Bafana Bafana coach is remarkably earning almost half of what Arthur Zwane was earning according to reports. The 53-year-old was recently announced as Amakhosi new coach with a salary of R 450 000.
