Croatia will take on Argentina in the first semi-final on Tuesday, 13 December at 21:00 (SA time).

The second semi-final – exactly 24 hours later – will see Morocco face defending champions France.

Argentina and France are favourites to reach next Sunday’s final, but with so many upsets to date, but necessarily bet on that happening!

A look at the populations of the final four nations standing makes for interesting reading.

Croatia have only 4.2 million citizens while Argentina boast 46.2 million.

Morocco’s population is 36.7 million while France have the most at 68.3 million.

For the record, the latest numbers suggest South Africa has 60 million people.
