Royal AM and ZESCO United in CAF Confed Cup stalemate

Royal AM played to a 0-0 draw with ZESCO United in the CAF Confederation Cup first leg at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Sunday.

As expected, Abram Nteo sat on the bench while Khabo Zondo was up in the stands due to strict CAF rules regarding coaching licenses.

Preparations for this encounter was marred by the controversy around Khabo Zondo’s future at Royal AM.

Reports had suggested that Zondo had left the club, and that Nteo is the one that will take the coaching reigns on a full-time basis.

However, those reports were squashed by Shauwn Mkhize who made it clear that they were unfounded as Zondo was still with them.
