When Kaizer Chiefs star will return from injury revealed

Kaizer Chiefs have received some much needed positive injury news ahead of the final push for league points in 2023

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Cavin Johnson has revealed when star attacker Ashley Du Preez will return from injury.

The Amakhosi attacker has missed the previous four matches through injury however there is some positive news.

Du Preez is expected to return to action soon, according to Johnson.

“There are good signs. Ashley is out on the pitch and running a little bit. According to the medical report that I have, he will return at the end of December.” Johnson told the club’s media department.

In other news, Kaizer Chiefs legend Bernard Parker has broken his silence on the leg breaking tackle he received from Mamelodi Sundowns’ Bongani Zungu.

Now plying his trade for TS Galaxy. Bernard Parker was on the receiving end of a leg breaking tackle last month.

The Bafana Bafana legend underwent immediate surgery. He is now on the mend however he’ll remain on the sidelines for an extended period of time

“I think there was ill intent in the Zungu tackle,” Parker told SportsNightAmplified on MetroFM.

“I think it was a build up of emotions from him and looking at the two goals scored by Galaxy and how he was involved. When the incident happened, it was building up to it. We are all human and things like that do happen, I am not angry.”
