This season’s Nedbank Cup Round of 32 matches were concluded this past weekend.

Sadly, for Kaizer Chiefs supporters it was a day to forget.

Amakhosi crashed out of the tournament in spectacular fashion, losing on penalties to minnows Milford FC on Sunday.

There was better fortune for arch-rivals Orlando Pirates who cruised to a 6-0 win over Crystal Lake, while Mamelodi Sundowns were 6-1 winners over MM Platinum.

The following 16 teams will go into the hat on Monday, 26 February when the draw for the Round of 16 is conducted live on SuperSport from 18:00:

Mamelodi Sundowns, SuperSport United, Sekhukhune United, University of Pretoria, AmaZulu, Stellenbosch FC, TS Galaxy, Swallows, Ravens, Hungry Lions, Orlando Pirates, Richards Bay, Maritzburg United, D’General, Chippa United and Milford FC.

The Nedbank Cup is the current name of South Africa’s premier club soccer knockout tournament.

While many formats have been used over the years, the tournament has always been based on the idea of giving lower league and amateur teams a chance to compete with clubs from the DStv Premiership for the cup.

The overall winner will walk away R7 million richer.

Orlando Pirates are the defending champions.
