Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sammy Seabi has revealed what prompted him to remain at the club for the ongoing season.

Seabi spent the last three seasons out on loan from the Brazilians, and was expected to follow suit once again this season.

He however surprisingly opted to remain at Chloorkop to fight for a place in their star-studded lineup.

Why Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder stayed at the club

“Coach [Rulani] didn’t say much. He just said to me ‘my boy, I want you back, I want you to come and help the team where you can and you must come back and work very hard.” Seabi said as quoted by IdiskiTimes.

“So that’s what I’m hoping to do, to return that favour because he also gave me the opportunity.”
