Augustine Mulenga came off the bench to fire AmaZulu to a 1-0 home win over Mamelodi Sundowns on Monday night, ending the league leaders’ 17-match unbeaten run.

The match looked to be heading for a goalless draw before Mulenga popped up in the 75th minute to net the match-winner as a shell-shocked Masandawana failed to find an equaliser in the closing minutes.

Mamelodi Sundowns stayed top of the log with 43 points after 18 matches, a full 16 points ahead of both Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu.

Usuthu have however played one more match than their opponents.
