On Tuesday night, SuperSport will host sixth-placed Stellenbosch in a tricky fixture, while the Buccaneers will then take on Royal AM on Wednesday afternoon.

However, Pirates will be without two key players, with midfielders Miguel Timm and Kabelo Dlamini having received yellow cards in last weekend’s clash against TS Galaxy which will result in a one-match suspension.

Both players have featured prominently for Pirates this season, but the Soweto giants should still be confident in their ability to overpower ninth-placed Royal AM.

Having enjoyed scintillating form over the past weeks, the Buccaneers were looking for a sixth successive league victory, and they would ultimately have been pleased with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over TS Galaxy.

“We appreciate the victory, six in a row if I’m not mistaken,” coach Jose Riveiro told the media afterwards. “All the credit to the players and staff; we are working a lot, the players, the staff, and it’s nice to continue collecting wins.”

How Pirates lined up (with replacements in brackets): Chaine, Sibisi, Xoki, Monyane (Shandu 81’), Mako, Timm (Makhaula 65’), Monare, Saleng, Hotto, Dlamini (Makaringe 81’), Dzvukamanja (Erasmus 65’).
