Since last season concluded, Chiefs have dramatically overhauled their squad in hopes of breaking their PSL title drought.

Besides welcoming several new players to Naturena, Chiefs have also let others go, many of whom were deemed surplus to requirements.

REPORT: CHIEFS SET TO SIGN PITSO’S FORMER ‘RIGHT-HAND MAN’

Now, in a strategic move, Kaizer Chiefs and Swallows FC have finalised a loan deal for both Darrel Matsheke and Lebohang Lesako.

The duo, who recently returned from successful loan spells at Uthongathi FC, will be hoping to gain some top-flight experience as they look set to spend a season with the Dube Birds.

“Nothing is set in stone but it’s almost a done deal and just a matter of final agreements before an official announcement is made so that the boys can get started,” a source recently told KickOff.com.

ICYMI: KAIZER CHIEFS TO MISS OUT ON THESE TARGETS!

According to Phakaaathi, Chiefs are currently in negotiations with Musi Matlaba, who most recently worked closely with Pitso Mosimane as a performance analyst at Al Ahly.

Matlaba also worked with Mosimane at Sundowns, before continuing to serve as a part of his team at Al Ahly. However, the duo both left the Egypt club recently after Mosimane opted to prematurely exit from his Al Ahly contract.

“Chiefs and Pitso have developed a good working relationship and he committed himself to helping them out in any way they need,” a Phakaaathi source commented.

“That is why it was not a surprise to hear that Chiefs are talking to Matlaba who is Pitso’s right hand man. He will definitely be a good addition to the club’s technical team.”

Chiefs recently added Muzi Maluleke as their new strength and conditioning coach, and could now welcome Matlaba to the management team, with negotiations apparently at an advanced stage.
