Orlando Pirates are believed to be ready to go into the market for yet another striker in the off-season.

Pirates are believed to already be closing in on DRC striker Andy Boyeli but that doesn’t seem to be enough.

They’re also believed to be in the race for Ivorian striker Freddy Michael Kouablan, with archrivals Kaizer Chiefs. The club was already active in the recently concluded January transfer window. The likes of Thabiso Lebitso and Talent Mbatha were roped in by Pirates, who then saw Bienvenu Eva Nga released. Then perhaps, the biggest outgoing was that of club stalwart Thembinkosi Lorch. The playmaker shocked the local football fraternity by securing a deadline-day move to rivals Mamelodi Sundowns.

Pirates offer Aziz Ki pre-contract?

Just last week, it was rumoured that they’re monitoring veteran Swati goal machine Sabelo Ndzinisa and Tremaine Eastmond. Pirates have also shown interest in Young Africans (Yanga) star Stephane Aziz Ki. In fact, this publication reported on Wednesday that the club had offered the Burkinabe international a pre-contract.

It now seems as if, Aziz Ki is ready to reject that pre-contract from Pirates and stay at Yanga.

Yanga star to reject Buccaneers?

“I have no expectations of leaving Yanga at the moment because I have not achieved the goals that brought me here. This club, which I love with all my heart, still owes me, and even money cannot fill the love I have for this club,” said Aziz Ki on his future after links withs Pirates as per The Citizen

Aziz Ki has been in superb form for Yanga in the Tanzanian Premier League this season. He has made 20 goal contributions thus far, those coming in 13 goals and seven assists. That is the type of form that has since Pirates send their scouts to the East African country to scout him further.

It now remains to be seen if Pirates can pull off the signing of Aziz Ki ahead of next season.
