Kaizer Chiefs will have brought in a quintet of players once Ranga Chivaviro and Pule Mmodi are announced and rubber-stamped. That inevitably means there will be casualties.

Amakhosi to offload as many as three players

According to SABC Sport, Austin Dube and Cole Alexander are two names definitely on their way out of Naturena. The fringe duo both have a year remaining on their current contracts, but the club is expected to reach agreements on exit deals for both.

“Austin hasn’t been part of the group that started training this week,” explained Dube’s agent Basia Michaels. “It’s the unfortunate side of football but it’s a reality of the game.”

Hlanti also on the brink

Popular ITK source Unplayable claims 33-year-old Sifiso Hlanti could also end up leaving the club because “the offer to extend for another season is lower than the contract that expires on 30 June, which means he must take a salary cut. The two parties may part ways.”

It was previously expected that the veteran left-back would extend his terms by another year.
