Molefi Ntseki has found it difficult to explain after Kaizer Chiefs were defeated 1-0 by Cape Town City on Tuesday evening.

This was Amakhosi’s fourth defeat of the season in the DStv Premiership.

Just as it looked like Chiefs were finding their rhythm this season, the Glamour Boys fired blanks and once again punished.

Khanyiso Mayo’s second half header was the difference at the FNB Stadium.

After the match, Ntseki explained how his side struggled to score against the Cape side.

“It’s a difficult one because if you could see, they came here for a point and they sat very deep. And we enjoyed possession in the wrong areas and that is why we couldn’t put them under pressure more especially with the chances we created,” Ntseki said.

“They did not give us that space, they defended very deep with their centre backs, we needed to use the space in front of their centre backs,” he said.

Ntseki said his midfielders were always late to get into the box when the ball was crossed thus the team failed to find clear chances to score.
