These THREE Orlando Pirates players are being given a last chance in Spain! 

Orlando Pirates have now landed in Spain, where with their first friendly match tomorrow, giving some players a chance to prove their worth to the club.

Pirates are set to take on Israeli giants Maccabi Haifa in a friendly game that has dominated the local spotlight for reasons pertaining to its controversy.

There have been quite a few South African bodies calling for the cancellation of this game, but Pirates have released a statement saying it will go ahead. That is set to be welcome relief for at least three players who are believed to be on their ‘last chance saloon’ at the Buccaneers as they will need every opportunity available to them. According to Soccer-Laduma, midfield duo Fortune Makaringe, Goodman Mosele as well as striker Bienvenu Eva Nga are the players who have been challenged to show their quality by coach Jose Riveiro on the tour. 

Last chance for Makaringe, Mosele and Eva Nga?

“Yes, they travelled with the team to Spain. Initially, they were not supposed to go but the technical team is giving them the last chance to prove themselves, You know the team will be playing in Africa and they need a strong, well- balanced squad so with the experience of these three, the technical team feels they can help. But it will only depend on how they perform during the pre-season in Spain. It’s not a guarantee that they will be registered with the team this coming season nor that they will be regulars. This is like a last chance saloon for them. They have to prove themselves,” said the source to the same publication.

All three players have been linked with exits through out the window and should Pirates decide to cash in, it looks like there won’t be any shortage of options for the trio of Makaringe, Mosele and Eva Nga in the DStv Premiership.
