Most of the current crop of Orlando Pirates don’t understand what it takes to wear the heavy badge of the club according to Teko Modise.

Modise claims there’s no ‘senior’ players to show the new recruits what it means to be a Buccaneer.

“There aren’t too many players within the Pirates structure that know what it means to play for that club. So, therefore, you don’t have a reference to be able to show yes, when Happy [Jele] was there, he understands what it means to play for Orlando Pirates.” Modise told iDiskiTimes.

“So sometimes players, they think that they’d have time to adjust, to adapt to it. But you don’t have time, because when you’re playing for such big teams, you playing high tempo games, you playing a big game every game, because everybody’s out there to try and knock you out.”

In other news, Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphelele Ntshangase is reportedly contemplating retirement at the tender age of 29!

The ex-Black Leopards star has found the going tough since his blockbuster move to the Glamour Boys in 2018.

The talented midfielder was tipped for big things during the initial stages of his career out in Limpopo however it wasn’t to be.

Ntshangase struggled in Gauteng before eventually being released by the mighty Kaizer Chiefs in 2018.

The pass-master was expected to revive his career at Marumo Gallants however that also didn’t work out for him.

He then re-joined Black Leopards this season but was also left wanting after being released by the club due to disciplinary issues.

Now, according to the latest reports the midfielder is set to RETIRE!

“Deep down he knows that he should be one of the top players in the league and he should be part of the Bafana Bafana set-up.” a source told Citizen.

“But as life has it, things don’t come to you if you don’t work hard and ‘Stash’; has reached the ceiling in terms of what he can offer. He knows his time is up.”
