WHAT MAMELODI SUNDOWNS NEED

Working it out in simple mathematics, the 2016 African champions need nine more points from their remaining nine games. Three wins in the next three games will propel Sundowns to 64 points.

The second-placed SuperSport could win their remaining 10 matches, but United’s highest points tally would be 63.

Sundowns’ next three fixtures:

  1. Stellenbosch (away) – 4 March
  2. Royal AM (home) – 18 March
  3. Cape Town City (home) -1 April.

Additionally, the job could be done earlier if SuperSport United and Richards Bay drop more points before 1 April.
