Stellenbosch FC have officially unveiled a former Kaizer Chiefs player who struggled to live up to the expectations for two seasons.

Kgaogelo Sekgota has sealed his move to Stellies having recently parted ways amicably with Chiefs.
The news of Sekgota leaving Chiefs for Stellenbosch surfaced last week, and it is now official with the club releasing a statement.

In the statement, Stellies only revealed that Sekgota had signed a long-term deal with them without going into details.

STELLENBOSCH FC UNVEIL KGAOGELO SEKGOTA
“Stellenbosch Football Club is delighted to announce that the club has acquired the services of South Africa international Kgaogelo Sekgota.
“The 26-year-old arrives in the Cape Winelands following a spell with Kaizer Chiefs and has penned a long-term deal with the club ahead of the 2023/24 season.”
SEKGOTA LEFT KAIZER CHIEFS WITHOUT SCORING A GOAL
Despite his speed and attacking impetus, Sekgota disappointingly left Chiefs without finding the back of the net.

Sekgota featured in 48 competitive matches for Chiefs over two seasons, and could only afford two assists.
