“Both parties need to come together. I’m talking about Kaizer Chiefs, Khama Billiat, and his agent,” Khanye said on iDiski TV.

“One, I don’t think he [Billiat] was coached by the right coaches, even the environment at Kaizer Chiefs at the time wasn’t good.

“At Sundowns, he was surrounded by the likes of Percy [Tau], Keagan Dolly, Bongani Zungu at their best, well many players even Katlego Mphela.”

Meanwhile, the former Platinum Stars coach and Al Ahly assistant coach, Johnson said they are not looking to make more signings during the January transfer window.

KHANYE ON WHY CHIEFS MUST BRING BACK BILLIAT

To add to his sentiments, Khanye adds that Billiat arrived at a different environment at Chiefs, and that led to his struggles.

“He arrived to a different environment at Chiefs and they were already playing ‘helicopter football’,” adds the legend.

“He was always injured and by right you couldn’t rely on him because they played him off position at times as a striker.

“So bring him in, Cavin will bring out the best in him because he [Cavin] needs someone who can cut in, and players like Mdu [Shabalala] and [Pule] Mmodi can’t do that.

“Their footwork needs work; they are not even arrogant on the ball, no individual brilliance and no consistency. So bring Khama to Cavin Johnson.”
