Mamelodi Sundowns star striker Peter Shalulile says his team can go on and win five trophies this season.

This comes after Masandawa reach the MTN8 final after beating Kaizer Chiefs 3-2 on aggregate over the two-legged semi-final at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Shalulile scored the two goals to see the Brazilians win 2-1 on the day and become the first team to reach the MTN8 final this year. They will now wait on the game between Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch to find out who they play on 7 October.

Sundowns have won all nine out of the 10 matches since the start of the season across all competitions and are favourites to win the MTN8 title and the DStv Premiership.

“But for Sundowns and my teammates, we just want to win trophies, it doesn’t mean if you play good football, you can’t win trophies,” he said.

Shalulile missed a couple of matches due to a hamstring injury but the Namibian forward is back to his best already.
