Sekhukhune United announce departure of ex-Bafana Bafana coach

Sekhukhune United have officially announced the departure of former Bafana Bafana assistant coach Thabo Senong.

Sekhukhune United have officially announced the departure of former Bafana Bafana assistant coach Thabo Senong.

Senong had been with Babina Noko for some time, occupying different roles from the senior team to the development.

However, according to a statement released by Sekhukhune United, Senong tendered his resignation and it was accepted by the management.

At the time of his resignation, Senong was the head of development; the position he occupied from November 2022.

His biggest break came almost a decade ago when he was roped in as one of Bafana Bafana assistant coaches by Shakes Mashaba.

Senong also coached the Lesotho national team before returning home to join Sekhukhune United in July 2021.

According to reports, Senong is set to link up with former Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp as his assistant at Tanzanian club Singida Fountain Gate FC.
