The 33-year-old had a brief spell in the DStv Premiership with Marumo Gallants and AmaZulu.

Folz said on iDiski Times: “I love South Africa, the country, the people, it’s a football country with amazing fans.

“I have a special relationship with the AmaZulu fans, which I still receive positive messages to this day from. Fantastic people and I truly love them.

“Even Chiefs and Pirates fans, for example, I always had great interactions with them. They are amazing.

“To sum up, again, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about South Africa, only good things and when the time is right, I will be back.”

Folz added: “As always, I am dedicated and focused on my current mission.

“I will finish my tasks with FIFA and then I’ll evaluate the next steps of my future. I have refused many offers since October, including multiple from South Africa.

“It was not the right time, one thing I can tell you, I will come back to South Africa in the future and win the PSL.”
