RICHARDS BAY WANT TO CASH IN ON SALIM MAGOOLA, BUT…

According to FarPost, the Natal Rich Boyz offered Magoola to Chiefs but the Glamour Boys couldn’t do a deal because it would have exceeded their foreign quota. As things stand, Amakhosi have five foreign stars in their squad in the shape of Christian Saile, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Edson Castillo, Efmamjjasond Gonzalez and Edmilson Dove.

Magoola’s contract expires at the end of the season but Richards Bay want to exercise an extension option until June 2025 or cash in now rather than lose him on a free. The Ugandan star was a key figure in 2022-23, winning the Player of the Month awards for September and October.
