Kaizer Chiefs wantaway Khama Billiat could secure a move to Royal AM but that move is conditional upon a few external factors.

Royal AM’s hands are tied

Because of their pending case with former Amakhosi star Samir Nurkovic, MaMkhize’s side cannot register new signings until they cough up the money owed to the Serbian striker and his agent.

The Serb reported the KwaZulu-Natal side to FIFA after he was dismissed in October 2022. They terminated his two-year contract just two months in, and without compensation. Nurkovic was injured for the majority of his time there sand approached FIFA who ruled in his favour.

Kaizer Chiefs star Billiat not short of options

Royal AM’s ambitious project and rumoured interest in Khama Billiat is being threatened by their pending transfer ban. According to ITK source UnplayableZA, MaMkhize’s side can only register new players once they settle their debt with Samir Nurkovic. It’s believed they own Nurkovic and his agent as much as R12 million. Billiat, meanwhile, has offers from Turkey’s Super Lig and clubs back home in Zimbabwe.

Where will Khama Billiat be playing his football next season? If Royal AM truly want him, they’ll need to settle their R12 million debt with Nurkovic and then cough up Billiat’s considerable wage demands.
