According to a shocking report that was run by the Daily Sun this past weekend, a case of ‘attempted rape, malicious damage to property and domestic violence’ has been opened against a top PSL player from TS Galaxy.

Apparently the player – who cannot be named – also previously played for Pirates and Bafana, and is accused of attempting to rape his ex-girlfriend in Sandton.

“Our relationship didn’t work out and we became friends again,” the woman in question stated. “So, when I came back from Bloemfontein on Saturday, 11 November, he offered to pick me up from the airport. When we arrived home, he helped me carry my luggage into my apartment and out of the blue he tried to force himself on me.

“He followed me into my bedroom and pushed me onto the bed. I was saved by the clothes I had left on my bed when I was packing for the trip to Bloemfontein. When he was busy removing the clothes from the bed, I ran out of the bedroom.”

The report further states that the PSL player later begged her to have sex with him before allegedly smashing her phone and laptop.

“That’s when I realised he was going to kill me next and I ran out of the house.”

Apparently he then drove away from the scene after security and police were alerted.

PSL player responds

Although the matter is apparently being investigated by police, a bizarre twist has seen the player claiming the woman is in fact his wife.

“She’s my wife. I’m not aware about any police case,” he is quoted as saying before hanging up.
