Mdu Shabalala’s decision-making in the final third and shooting were both poor. Starting from the left-hand side flanking Ranga Chivaviro, he spurned the best chance of the game with a hastily-taken shot when Chippa gifted him the ball in a dangerous area. Sifiso Hlanti wasn’t at his best on the left flank either, and perhaps Edmilson Dove could be drafted in to replace him. The Mizambican, however, wasn’t on the bench for the Chippa game but could be fit in time for the clash against the Brazilians. Pule Mmodi could return after a family bereavement, while Mduduzi Mdantsane is pushing for a start in attacking midfield areas.

Sundowns vs Chiefs the only place to be on Wednesday

The Brazilians have won six PSL titles on the bounce and are looking to extend their own record this season. Chiefs haven’t won the DStv Premiership crown since 2015, but a good result at the home of Rulani Mokwena’s men would be a timely statement of intent. Kickoff is at 3pm.
