Currently under the interim guidance of Romanian George Timis, this marks his second stint in that role, succeeding Czesław Michniewicz and Yousef Al Mannai, both dismissed this season due to subpar performances.

Emerging reports from Saudi Arabia suggest that Mosimane is in talks for a potential appointment for the remaining 15 games of the season, as the club finds itself five points away from safety.

The decision to accept the offer hinges on whether Mosimane and his technical team perceive it as an enticing project, consistent with his prior assertion that only such prospects would draw him back into management.

Abha Club, previously under the coaching of Belgian Sven Vandenbroeck, recent track record revealed underwhelming performances over the last three seasons, securing two ninth-place finishes and a 13th place standing since their title win in the 2018/19 campaign.

Should Mosimane accept the role, it would mark his second stint in Saudi Arabia after successfully guiding Al Ahli back into the Saudi Pro League, resulting in them being crowned Yelo League champions.

However, a change in ownership occurred when the Saudi Public Investment Fund took over the club, appointing former Red Bull Salzburg coach Matthias Jaissle.
