Pitso Mosimane’s struggles in the United Arab Emirates continued this weekend after his side went down 2-1 against Bani Yas.

The loss means Mosimane’s side close the weekend out in ninth place on the log standings, with just six points from five matches.

It’s Mosimane’s fifth loss in all competitions since taking over the United Arab Emirates side after just 11 matches.

In other news, former Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat has played just TWO minutes of PSL football in 2023.

Billiat’s only appearance this year came in the final league match of the season for the Glamour Boys.

He was brought on just before half-time and subbed off due to injury before the second half got underway.

That would turn out to be Billiat’s last appearance for the mighty Amakhosi! And now, the Zimbabwean star is edging closer to a blockbuster move to Cape Town City!

Experienced football boss didn’t ‘deny’ rumours suggesting his side are trying to lure the big fish back to Cape Town.

Billiat was let go of by the Amakhosi in June after the player and club couldn’t reach an agreement over a contract extension at Naturena.

Ex Chiefs star Khama Billiat en-route to Cape Town?

“Who wouldn’t be?” Comitis told Radio2000 as quoted by IdiskiTimes regarding his interest in signing ex Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat.

“I think he’s 33-years-old now. And ja. You never say no to a player like that. I’m not sure what his intentions are at the moment. But it’s a good one to think about.

“Who’s speaking to you now from my club? Just remember, I brought Khama from Zimbabwe to South Africa when I was at Ajax, remember that? So I know what Khama’s all about.”
